To accomplish this simply open VLC and select MediaOpen Multiple Files. Inside the multiple file windows select add to add the first file. After this click on the, 'Show more options,' checkbox followed by the, 'Play another media synchronously,' checkbox at the bottom of the window. Autohide has three values, “2” which is the default and video progress bar to fade out while the player controls remain visible, “1” which hides the progress bar and player controls after a few seconds, and “0” which will keep the progress bar and player controls visible always.

I have several 3D movies that I used to stream to my Gear VR that played beautifully in one of Samsung's native apps, as well as a couple of 3rd party apps that placed you in a Movie theater environment while watching.
Now I know that the 'Movies and TV' app in windows MR can play '360' video, which is cool, but there doesn't seem to be any solution for playing 3D, side by side video - native or 3rd party.
Has anyone found a solution for this?
(Edit)
Now that the SteamVR store beta is open to the public, I've found that the free program Big Screen Beta works for the 3d video. The program itself is still a little glitchy, but I can get the movie going in a nice 3D environment in a Theater setting.
